Problems loading OS1.18

Problems loading OS1.18

2002-04-03 by cedsmusic

Can anyone help me? I am trying to load OS 1.18 into my MP-7 and I
receive a download error message, "MINI:time out" I am currently
running windows 2000, Sun Java and using a MOTU fastlane USB midi
interface. I have tried removing ez loader and Sun java and
reinstalling both and nothing seems to work. Thanks for the help.

Instead of trying to troubleshoot this today, please wait a few days, as
E-Loader 1.1 is in the process of being posted. Let's see if the
problems go away with that release, and if not, we can troubleshoot that
environment instead of E-Loader 1.0.

Oh, BTW, you probably won't be downloading 1.18 at that time anyway ;-)

I found (mp7) that my usb midi interface would not work. regardless of packet delay settings with sysex "upload" to my mp7...kept getting system error sysex too fast message (using Sonar for files) I switched to my old generic midi interface that was attached to generic computer sound card and everything worked fine. Just thinking it might be worth a shot using different midi port to upgrade os??

Make sure your midi thru isn't activated in the MP-7 or in Sonar.

Also make sure your putting the sysex part at the beginning of the song at 60bpm with a tempo change about a second after to your normal song speed.
