Hello,
if you doesn't plan to edit further the sequences then you just have to
record
audio in Logic.
Create audio track (or tracks), assign input channels where MP-7 is
connected
then solo the wanted channel in the MP-7 by disabling all other tracks in
the
pattern. Rewind MP-7, press record in Logic, press play on the MP-7,
wait till it recorded at least 2 complete loops
(I alwasy go for 3 complete) then stop. Don't switch off recording after the
last
loop completed if there are any effect tails, like reverbs, delays, etc.
Wait for them to finish.
Select the next track on the MP-7, repeat process on a different audio track
in Logic..
It would be convenient to create a project template for yourself in Logic
for
this if you plan to do it a lot.
Now, you may ask why should you record more loops than one (and by loop
I mean the complete (actual) track length, whatever number of bars it is
...) ?
The answer is:
- the first loop would be your starting one
- the middle one would be used in the song wherever you loop it, it will
contain
effect tails right on the first beat as well and won't sound unnatural when
you loop it
- the last one would contain both the effect tails from the previous one and
will
let the effects ring out, if any
This is just a recommendation, it's not a must. You decide.
Regards,
Zsolt
