I lied. There's no option to not send start/stop from the Command Stations, only clock. Do what Zsolt said and disable it in Logic.
Oh, and yes Zsolt, the CSs do both transmit and recieve SPP.

Hi,
when the location bar turns blue it means Logic is slaved to
incoming sync clock. That's OK if you want to run your PX7 as
master. In Logic sync prefs there's Auto-Sync In, it means when
Logic senses incoming clock it will automatically sync to it.
If you enable song position pointer (is it sent from the EMU
command stations ? if anybody knows, please answer...) then,
well, this is obvious.
If Logic is not playing along your EMU then there's midi loop,
sync problems, or the conbination of the two.
Using the EMU as a controller is no problem, just enable
sending MIDI info for pads+knobs on the EMU and process it
further in Logic if required (in the environment for example).
I have the same setup only with XL7 + Logic 5.5 PC and works
beautiful. If you need detailed help contact me privately.
Regards,
Zsolt
