Hi there, i haven't really delved into preset editing but am intending to start. i want to make electro and was wondering which rom would give me the best sample set. I want 808 / 909 and other vintage kits. I have an mp7 with mohpatt Thanks, Mike

Hi ... I have encounetered one BIG problem with my XL-7... IT doesnt send or recieve any midid information. During the diagnostic tests it says Midi loop failed or Midi port failed... Any one have any propositions for solving this problem??? Hi did you link the midi out back to the midi in with a midi cable when you did the test? The XL-7 reads the data back in to check the ports. If the data didnt come back , ie no cable loop it will fail. If you did make the loop correctly then maybe you have a problem else where. Classic would be dry joints around the pins on the sockets. There never the best as there just PCB mounted. Other faults could be damaged ic on the midi in or damaged ic / driver stage on the midi out. Yeas i connected the midi cable from in to out, the error was still there, and i tried to control XL-7 with KawaiK1 as a master keybord and backwards...controling Kawai with XL-7 nothing hapens... Yeas it worked... and Yeas it travelled...I bought it on eBay...and it had problems with those quartz things... then after repair it worked fine, but i took it to some gigs... I cant understand...today i tested it with cubase SX and everything work fine, both outs and in, could that be the cable problem? do you have any other gear you could try the cables on? if they don't work there either, you'd have a solution :)
