Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I .just getting my XL-7 ,i don't manage syncronise it
with cubase ....
even if we choose the tempo manually a little decay
between the two sequencer make it very harassing ....
this is if i try xl-7 as a slave ......
then xl-7 as a master even worse nothing get to sound
and xl-7 remain stucked .
if anybody could help me found a link or a location
were we can learn from using xl-7 with some softs.

I think the problem is happening because the Merge Midi In to Out is 
not set properly.  What happens is the MIDI coming from the 
sequencer or XL-7 gets caught in a MIDI loop.  The information being 
received gets copied and sent backout, which is recieved, copied, 
and sent backout again.  That causes the effect of delay or in most 
cases MIDI crash, in which the midi signal is to large and the 
system freezes or becomes stuck.  Press the MIDI button on your XL-
7, scroll till the screen reads MERGE MIDI IN TO OUT and make sure 
the midi output going from your XL-7, back to the sequencer is 
turned OFF.  Hope this helps.  Brandon.

if i had to choose i would like the xl7 to be the
master of the system .and the midi merge option not
change anything to it .even the rechanelize is set to
off.

i've never had my merge midi enabled and i still get crashes. so far 
only hen using fl studio.
