Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hi i found this in your faqs "-How do I use the 16 knobs to control
the Gate Time in Grid Record mode?"  but it didnt answer my question. 

im having a probem with my mp-7. from all of the other step sequencer
synths i've played with the gate usualy edits the note length on
edited steps. but on this synth it's doing nothing.. any ideas?

is there something im not doing? btw im in grid record mode

I seem to recall some discussion a few months ago that went into 
step/grid mode recording functionality--including discussion of 
gate.  Check the the archives.
