Saving new sounds?

Saving new sounds?

Sorry, this has probably been answered a zillion times, but is there a quick way to save sounds you create(via patchcords or just layering) without saving in a user bank that you've already saved something to?  For example, I've created new sounds and saved them to some random bank, only to find the next time I listen to a previously created track, one of the sounds is totally different......the sound I just saved!  Kinda frustrating.  Is there a bank I can go to that automatically saves to an unused bank, or do I just have to do a better job of memorizing where I save what?  Help.

Sorry, this one is up to you to maintain, there's not a function built in 
to do what you want.  I personally got around this issue by overwriting 
all of the User Presets with the default blank preset.  That way, every 
time I save a User Preset, I only need to look for a slot with that 
default preset to know I'm not overwriting one of my own sounds.  If you 
download the "rEalm.zip" file in the files section of this yahoo group, 
you can use my Bank 2 User Presets to help speed this up.  This bank is 
all default Presets, once you load it into your XX-7, you can use the Save 
menu command to copy that entire bank to another User bank, and this way 
overwrite all of the USer Presets with the Defualt Preset too.

Another thing you can do is to name all of your sounds with a unique 
category, I use "rlm" for instance.
