I've scoured the manual and tried every possible key and knob combination I can think of, and I still can't figure out how to get to the 2nd half of the bar in 32nd note grid record mode... Can anyone fill me in on how to do this? Thank you!!!

PS. fully intending to be tounge-in-cheek. it's retarded that you can't skip to the next section. one of the old manuals actually had the old step field which could get you to the next set, but we ran out of screen space or something. _______________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Thanks. I never would have thought of that, actually. I'm used to working on an MPC2000; in that sequencer you can dial up your sequence to any particular clock tick, from any screen in which that would be applicable. I'm shocked that the XL-7 can't do that, but I guess this is the only place in the UI it's really necessary. The other thing I'm really missing is an 'Undo' feature in real-time record mode. How could E-Mu have left that out? It's not too bad when creating a new track, only takes a few seconds to get to the Erase Track screen, but when tweaking a pre-existing track the workflow seems scary if you make a mistake. Especially if you haven't saved for a while... I guess the moral of the story is, save after every change? --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, Aaron Eppolito <synthesis77@y...> wrote: > Press play.

I know, we wanted undo, but the way everything is live, undo would've been pretty hard. By the way, if you have the 2.0 OS, you don't even need to go to the erase track screen. Simply hold the erase button and press the track button you want to delete. > Especially if you haven't saved for a while... I guess the moral > of the story is, save after every change? Yep. I get in the habit of pressing "save, right cursor, enter, enter, save" pretty regularly. Doesn't even require me to look at the screen. Then, "revert to saved" works just like a poor-man's undo... -Aaron __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
