Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hey gang.  I'm am *almost* there, but need to have some of the fog 
cleared on one issue.  Here are a couple of things I want to do:

Sequence and Playback with Cakewalk

I can record just fine.  It even attempts to playback just fine.  
But, when it switches patterns on playback (from Cakewalk), the 
patterns switchs sans preset switches...it just keeps the same 
programs and switches patterns.  How do I force the XL-7 to send the 
program changes out so that Cakewalk can play them back and get the 
correct presets active before each pattern switch?

Another crazy idea: 

I want to use the XL7 1a-16a to record/playback patterns, etc. on the 
XL7 (only).  Then, I'd like to use 1b-16b as basically a hardware 
sequencer for my Korg.  Basically, I'd like to dedicate the b 
channels to external in and external out.  I've mapped 1-16 midi in 
(w/ the new OS) to point to "B", but it is still sounding presets 
internal to the XL-7.
