Override pattern track mutes in song mode?

Override pattern track mutes in song mode?

2004-02-06 by flametopuk

Hello,

New XL-7 owner alert :) Apologies if this is an FAQ, but I have
checked the manual cant find any answer to this question.

Is it possible to override the track mutes stored in the patterns
when recording/playing song mode?

What I'd like to do is add multiple copies of 16 bar pattern to the
song in step mode. Enter song record and then 'play' the track mute
buttons for the song. Currently I can do this, but at the start of
every pattern the mutes revert to the stored pattern values.

I have tried the 'Event source' stuff in song mode. I would have
suspected setting 'mix' event to '1st pattern only' would work, but
no joy.

Thanks

FT

yes, it is,
and its in the manual,
you can program endlesly steps with different mutes/unmutes over the same
pattern,
if you are in step edit
define lenght, mute unmute the tracks you wish, press enter
repeat as you like
