Save Error

Save Error

2003-11-10 by stx303

I was working on something on my XL-7, and when i tired to save
it said sve error code 100 and went into data comapcting mode, so
i;ve lost all my saved stuff (not much), and when it ended the
compacting process it still won;t let me save. so what does
code 100 mean and or what's wrong with it?

Very strange, the compaction is completely normal and will happen every
now and then (read the FAQ for a detail description). Still, after the
process is over, you should still have all of your data there. You didn't
turn off the power in the middle of the compaction process did you? Maybe
try reintializing the unit (after you BACK EVERYTHING UP)?

Re: Save Error

I had the same problem a while ago. I had an error when saving, my xl-
7 went on compacting mode and had not a single pattern anymore when
it came back to life. I assumed that this occured because I had
installed all the patterns from the protean drums and the pop ROMs on
top of the xl7 patterns and had only 10% or so of memory available.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
