humanizing beats

humanizing beats

2003-10-02 by Christoph Kluxen

Well, drinking that second bottle beer I come to the conclusion, that I have
to find another way to setup the
whole thing for a live thing.

Switching patterns is not the whole thing for creating my style.
I think it´s better using many multitracks on the same pattern to record
control data into (volume, pan,
anything), just one multitrack with all the notes in it, other ones should
change volume and setup delays, all
in combination with the 16 program knobs controlling all that sounds.
This method is a combination of programmed and live.
Some should play syncopes, too.
I don`t know what really happens if you use 16 multitracks in a pattern, but
hope it works.
That was it what I searched of I think.

Besides I really think about humanizing drums.

I know Sample Start, velocity and all these things, but it must be possibly
nearly to humanize everything with
key random, especially random volume could be useful, any ideas would be
great.
Made a bass sound with a vox wave and a sine wave, today and liked it.

Trying to find the groove.
Chris

>>>That's a pretty cool idea, you could do some really interesting things
that way. A lot of setup work, but neat. <<<

>>>It'll work fine. If you have 16 track of heavy controller tweaking, it
might get a bit messy, but otherwise I don't see any problems. <<<

>>>I love using "KeyRand -> AmpVol" to help my drum sounds not be so
repetitive, adds nice velocity variations without having to manually draw
them all in. <<<
