the original eiii has the option to turn off external song start/stop receive. the eiiix does not have this feature. every other feature in the midi sub menu

i tried turning the transmit midi clock to off but it still switches the sampler out of the module. i guess i can live with it though, or get an asr-10 instead

Send the drums out submix 1 AND out the main. You will have to set this up inside the preset menu. Then in routing for that channel you will have to choose

Yes u can use them as a mixer basically they are insert jacks. Unfortunately this audio coming back in through sub only routes to main analog output.

Not exactly.. yes They are routable by midi channel but they are also routable by preset layer if you choose. For example you could build a 4 layer drum kit

Can t say definitively about sound modules in general, but I have tested that the PSU in a P2500 module is compatible with the command stations and vice-versa.
