Grid record seems to get buggy when shuttling to a different tick. 
For example I will drop into grid record select an appropriate note to
edit/record pause select edit bar beat "or use the cursor in the grid
record window" and move forward or backward unpause and 60 to 70 percent
of the time the grid either wont scroll or reflect the current tick or
it might update every bar but the led wont chase. Once in a while after
shuttling around grid record will behave nicely any one else run into
this? Also when in song mode and switching to pattern mode and then
switching back to song mode in order to loop the current pattern the
counter wont update the tick position until the song reaches the point I
switched into pattern mode

Sorry more questions!  Which analogue modeled synth would be a good 
compliment to the XL7?  I've seen the Novation K-Station Rack, Access 
Virus module, Clavia G2 Rack, the Waldorf modules and a few others 
advertised.  I've listened to the Virus and the K-Station Rack demo's 
but can't make up my mind yet.  I think the Virus sound cuts through 
more while the K-Station seems to sound richer. 

I'm making Trance and Electronica.  I can only afford one module at 
the moment so unfortunately I have to choose otherwise I'd buy them 
all.  My synth programming knowledge is rudimentary so I'm looking 
for a module that provides really useful tweakable presets.
