> Oh... and I also get a digital input error on my > Tascam which I nver used to see before. I have a TM-D1000 as well, and it's terrible at syncing to S/PDIF. It gives me the "Clock Error! Fs -> Internal" message all the time. I have it slaved to a Roland S/PDIF out. It's so bad for me that I leave the mixer showing the clock selection page all the time so I can hit Enter quick to restore sync to Digital In A. In your case, you should have the following setup: Mixer A: XL-7 connected to Digital In A. Clock source: Digital In A. Mixer A: RCA cable connected from Word Clock out to... Mixer B: ...Work Clock in. Clock source: Word Clock in Soundscape: Clock source: T/DIF In Make sure you try different cables for the S/PDIF routing. They always say use very high-quality shielded RCA cables, but sometimes crappy ones have worked better for me. Try a bunch, and see which works best. --- erik_magrini@... wrote: > The XL-7 will automatically sync to any SPDIF once there is a proper > cable connected and a clock signal present. I'm sure rEalm meant that something ELSE will automatically sync to the XL-7 once a cable is connected, as the XL-7 cannot slave to external clock. > Someone once sent me a way to boost the digital output (though this > is in violation of FCC rules), sadly I cannot find it anymore!! There's some capacitor that you could remove, but I don't know what it is, and it would CERTAINLY violate FCC! =) -Aaron __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
