Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

The XL-7 will automatically sync to any SPDIF once there is a proper cable 
connected and a clock signal present.  For what it's worth, I too get the 
occasional pop and click in my digital recordings from the XL-7, and 
everything is set up properly in my studio too.  I always have to take it 
into Wavelab and draw them out.  I think the XX-7's have a relatively weak 
digital signal, and this is what's causing the pops.

Someone once sent me a way to boost the digital output (though this is in 
violation of FCC rules), sadly I cannot find it anymore!!  If you're on 
this list, could you please repost that information?

Is there any way to set the XL7 so that it syncs to SPDIF clock?  Maybe I 
should just forget this whole mess and go with analog inputs!!!
