Andre, Thanks for the reply. I was using my PC soundcard (Soundscape Mixtreme) as clock source for both TMD-1000s via TDIF. One TMD-1000 is set to SPDIF digital input for the channels used by the XL7. I tried changing the TMD-1000 so that clock source is coming from the digital in from the XL7 and then set the Mixtreme so that it was receiving it's input from the TMD1000 via TDIF. I connected both mixers together with SPDIF and set one to slave clock from the other (normally I have both slaved to the mixtreme via TDIF). This setup caused lots of problems. I got lots of digital input errors on both mixers and when I record in Cubase I get nothing but noise. Is there any way to set the XL7 so that it syncs to SPDIF clock? Maybe I should just forget this whole mess and go with analog inputs!!! -grimley. --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "Andre Lewis" <andrel@s...> wrote: > Sounds like the Tascam isn't set to use the XL7 as a clock master, you are > definately going to run into problems with out of sync clock, especially over > longer periods of time.
