Sounds like the Tascam isn't set to use the XL7 as a clock master, you are definately going to run into problems with out of sync clock, especially over longer periods of time. Also make sure the digital format is the same as the Tascam epects, AES or SPDIF. These are headers on the digital packets but they are different enough to cause prollems. Hope this helps, Andre -----Original Message----- From: Justin Grimley [mailto:grimley@...] Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2003 3:25 PM To: xl7@yahoogroups.com Subject: [xl7] OS 2.0 / digital out problem I have been using the SPDIF output on my XL7 for a while now with no problems. However, after upgrading to OS 2.0 I have started to notice a lot of crackles and pops from the XL7 which is connected to a Tascam TMD-1000 digital mixer. I always leave the XL7 on (so I can illuminate my mixers from the goose-neck lamp), however the longer I leave it on the worse the problem gets sometimes causing VERY loud pops on my monitors. I have to shut-down and restart the XL7 and the problem will be resolved temporarily, but eventually starts up again. Oh... and I also get a digital input error on my Tascam which I nver used to see before. Anyone else seen this with OS 2.0? -grimley To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: xl7-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo! Groups is subject to http://docs.yahoo.com/info/terms/
