It works ok with MIDI though? To be honest the USB is nice, but not
necessary. I was using USB in the past with no issues, but I recently had
to reorganize the studio, and do to it's location USB to the XL-7 just
isn't practial for me right now. I'm using just midi, and really it's not
THAT much slower, and you need to use it for Preset dumps and OS upgrades
anyway. If you can get by with MIDI, I say just use that, might not be
worth teh hassle of sorting out the USB issues. If you do want to pursue
it further, there's PCI USB cards for like $14 that might help though.

I have done this like four times trying to get it working.
Including formating my H.D.!
I have had it up and running in no time in the past I am so lost for
answers at this point.
I am begining to think that it is a problem with the usb on the
mother board in the computer. But evry thing shows up fine in my
device maniger in windows xp. go figure.
