Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

The XL-7 is basically aimed at the techno market, and the genre has a
bit of a thing about chord stabs, so a fair number of the actual
samples are rich in modal harmonics. They're not documented, but
it's usually pretty easy to determine the most obvious intervals, at
least enough to harmonise around them.

As Erik says, the presets themselves might transpose (or detune)
individual layers to form chords. The layer mute page is your friend;
jump to that and listen selectively to the layers.
