Well it's definitely a little weird until you realize that the ARPs are not
a separate controller feature in the XX-7 but are indeed part of the preset
voice architecture.  So external parts can not have arps, per say.  You can,
however as a matter of convenience direct a preset's arp MIDI data to one of
the MIDI ports. [I'm not defending E-mu's design choice here.  The fact that
the ARP feature arose from the Audity 2K explains though how this might
happen]

This subject was covered very thoroughly back in late November and early
December in posts by myself under the thread "the arp question, again".  I
suggest if your interested in all the gory details pursuing those.  I have a
draft written explaining this in one place but its not yet ready for
"publication".

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
