You can save the Volume settings reliably, just don't do it while the 
sequencer is stopped.  Just make your changes whil the XX-7 is playing, 
then save before you stop it.  It works, just a bit goofy for a few more 
weeks :)

So are you telling me that with this upgrade, in pattern mode, I 
can't change the volume and save it the way I want?  Is this true...
I will try and call E-mu today, hopefully they can answer this.  I 
called them on Tuesday, and they said that muting the tracks in song 
mode was not what is was meant for.  Does someone want to touch that 
one?
