Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Ok this is making me crazy.  

I can get the arps to send to external gear by creating a empty 
preset with the arp saved to the preset.  This works fine.

This is what is happening.  
On track 9 i have a bass line arp being sent to my sampler.
On track 10 I am trying to play the same arp to a lead synth sound 
in the XL7.

The arp plays the lead sound within the XL just fine but it is also 
playing the sund that is set up on the sampler on that chanel even 
though the chanel is set to internal.  I can't think of a way around 
this since i have to set the xl to send the arps to external gear 
via the arp menue to get it to send to the bass line. The reason 
this is a pain in the ass is that in a live situation i would have 
to create a pattern just to switch to an empty preset on the sampler.

This is work aroundable but is sloppy.

I can't belive that a box that has the most powerfull arps in the 
land cant work with external gear with out jumping through hoops.

I am begging and pleading to you Aaron that you help me out here or 
tell me that this problem is being taking care of in the long 
awaited new OS.  I Personaly see this as a major fault in the XL.  I 
am not one to bitch at the drop of a hat as i know that all gear has 
it't faults.  I would just love to see this worked out.

Bottom line....

Setting the chanel to internal should stop the arps from sending to 
external gear.

I would love some feed back on this one.  It seems that I am not 
missing sompthing but if I am I would love to know.
