Well the each of the pads can be assigned to a midi channel. Say, on 
pad 1 I have a kick drum assigned to channel 1 (using the 
corresponding MP-7 preset) and on pad 2 I have the snare assigned to 
channel 2 (using another preset) etc. I can even edit each preset 
independently. The problem starts when I record. All the data (from 
two different channels) is saved in a single track.
Is it clear?
