Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Hello there,

I am playing with a drum pad to program the drum parts in the MP-7, 
but it didn't work quite as I expected. Each of the pads can be 
assigned to a midi channel, effectively allowing you to create your 
own drum kits with the mp-7 internal sounds. When playing that works 
really nice. 

But when I hit "record", I thought each pad would be recorded to its 
own track (or midi channel), so that I would benefit from separate 
quantizing, mute/unmute etc. What is going on? Can't the MP-7 record 
to 2 different tracks at the same time?
