You can input 64ths, you just need to do it in Note List Mode.  Hell, you 
can do 128ths that way too,

you can't input 64th notes. it only goes up to 32. the ppqn is 384 ticks 
per beat. 
like you, i bought this unit to get away from software and i'm very happy 
with it.
