Re: [xl7] MC-909 lowdown

2002-11-21 by Ravi Ivan Sharma

Unless I get some great deal or something I will wait a good long while before I give into gear lust for the mc909 as there is somewhat little lust involved. If in the meantime E-mu makes an announcement of some impending super sampling Command Station, well then it will continue to be E-mu time! at my place!

Yeah, a real bummer for sure. I was actually thinking of getting one when
they were first announced so that I could use it live (I need sampling for
this). But with no megamix (yet, maybe Jim's up to something) and only 64
poly still, it's not worth it. I was banging my head against the wall
many times cursing the mc505's 64 poly, and that was with only mono
waveforms! The polyphony is the biggest let down IMO.
