Ouch, I get that every few weeks!  :)  Also get the situation where saving 
a pattern can take a few minutes too, instead of a second.  It's easy to 
freak out when you see this stuff, but if you just let it sit for a couple 
minutes then it'll be fine.  I agree a mention of this should be somewhere 
in the manual though, it's fairly important and not all users have the 
benefit of this forum.

Exactly.  It's not an error, just an informational prompt.  As the system 
writes data, it eventually needs to "defragment" flash memory.  This 
usually takes most users many months to occur.
