You can create a cd with 24 bit sound by simply saving your wav pattern at this range...not all programs are capable...for instance fruity loops I believe is capable you just have to change your save settings from the defaulted 16 bit to 24 bit....and the cd players I speak of are rare. But you can check out these special order ones....Crap they had one listed for over 4 GRAND! Check this link out! Check out the Signal to Noise ratio specs it is called a "Crane Home Theater" <100 nanoseconds; DYNAMIC RANGE: 130 dB; NOISE FLOOR: < -135 dB; THD+N:.006; SIGNAL TO NOISE RATIO: 130 dB; CHANNEL SEPARATION: >130 dB Christ!!! Link Below [http://www.audioweb.com/Store/StoreItem.asp?storeitemid=907] We can all learn from this....look at those specs. But this is no magic, once you save audio wav samples at that rate, their file size doubles/triples depending on what bit rate you translate to...so a average 14 song cd could only fit 7 tracks. Oh, and I was only referring the Audigy Platinum because of its ease to get. I know some people don't have a great access to music shops...so if they wanted a card that worked OK, I know that if they can find a CompUSA, Best Buy, or Circuit City, they can get their hands on one since some people still don't trust online ordering. And that is ONLY IF they wanted to try a 24bit capable card VS a 16 bit only card that they probably have now. But 24 bit cd players as you can see, do exist....they are just High priced as all to be damned!! Stay cool Realm...Peace __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
