First. Copyright exists no matter what, independently of whether credit is given. Second. I think that is the plan anyway. I ran a contest a couple of years back and on all the tracks on the mp3 site, until voting was done, the credit said TBA, and then after voting, the authors' names were filled in. Of course there is copyright warnings on all such pages, IUMA and MP3--not that they are necessary under any law mind you for protection to be given. We are talking about mere weeks here. If more than a handful of other than contest entrants even sees these tracks before (and hell, even after) the contest is run, I would be surprised. These concerns are technically valid, but are in this case quite over the top. Even in large songwriting contests, the songs are sent out to the 100s of judges with no names.
