Re: [xl7] Re:Final Error, help....

Am I right, that a multisetup saves the settings of the presets in the current choosen Pattern, or saves a multisetup all patterns of the whole XL-7?
>>>A multisetup saves all (well, most) parameters in the box as it is WHEN YOU SAVE THE MULTISETUP. When you power on the XL-7, the last used multisetup loads automatically. <<<
But what´s that good for to have all the same presets on every pattern?
>>>Depends on how you work. For me personally, I like to start witha blank template every time I power on the XL-7, so I created a Multisetup with all tracks assigned the "Default ver. 1.00" Preset, all FX sends set to 0, all Pans at center, and all volumes at 100, not to mention all of the appropriate MIDI settings too. By leaving the very first pattern empty (User Bank 0, Pattern 000), that multisetup will load each time I turn on the XL-7, giving me a blank canvas so to speak. <<<
I just can tell what I see, if I turn on that box I already have all the
same presets on every pattern, that wasn´t at the beginning.
So I choose a multisetup (factory setupup) and all the Presets of all
Patterns are back. But why?
>>>Because both the Multisetup, and your patterns will save the Preset assignments when you save them. So, if you call up a Pattern, it's Preset assignments will be loaded, if you then restore a Multisetup, then the presets that were assigned to each track when you saved the multi are loaded. Pressing Play will cause the Presets in the pattern to reload however, as that has priority over the multisetup. <<<
It´s really confusing, or am I confused?
>>> a bit of both probably :) <<<
