A couple things to check: 1. Make sure that you're not accidentally filtering out CC's. It's in the MIDI Preferrences. 2. Of course make sure that the VSTi is assigned to a MIDI track set to the appropriate channel. 3. Make sure you've got MIDI Thru activated in SX too, other wise the program will see the incoming data, but our VSTi's won't. I miss this one all the time and spend hours sctratching my head and testing my cables :) 4. You may have noticed that the MIDI port assignments are all messed up in SX. Each 'real' port is duplicated in the list (with no way to tell which is the right one), and there's an "emulated" version available too. Make sure you try out different port settings, like I said, the ports are duplicated, and only one of them will work, but there's no way to know which until you try. Once you find it, best bet is to rename it so in the future you know right away. BTW this is known bug to be fixed in the next SX update. I just got the official version of SX installed yesterday (had to reformat and reinstall ALL my programs to get it to work, grrr!) so I'll play around with this tonight too and see if I get the same results. rEalm I moved to Cubase SX But suddenly my XL7 couldn't control VSTi. I am asking that question here because I know guys using it with their XL. 1- I was able to control VSTi's using Cubase VST 32. 2- In the Transporter in Cubase it shows massages are coming in. 3- No sound from the VSTi's If anyone had the same problem and solved it let me know, or anyone that use SX and knows what I need to do.
