If you do get around to implementing it, perhaps you could compress and pre-send messages with a timestamp in order to keep the timing rock solid. I believe that's what eMagic does for theirs, especially if used with Logic. That sound right? Also maybe set it up so you could respond tracks A USB tracks B midi, complete with echo. We realize this is a desirable feature, but technically this is very difficult to achieve. We are prioritizing USB development efforts with the philosophy of doing things that benefit most from the speed advantage of USB first, hence bulk sysex transfers are first priority. There is little advantage to sending real-time MIDI over USB versus a traditional MIDI cable (Classic MIDI?), other than reducing cable clutter. In fact, many would argue that MIDI over USB is a disadvantage, because USB is inherently sloppier timing wise than traditional MIDI. But we do realize why people want it, and it is on our feature list. Scott To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to: xl7-unsubscribe@yahoogroups.com Your use of Yahoo!
