Does the USB port thing ACT as a MIDI port as
well?

As stated in the E-Loader documentation (as well as various other
places), OS Download is not supported via USB, only via MIDI. USB is
used for performance data transfers only. You don't do OS downloads all
that often, so it doesn't seem that important to speed up that process.
I'd rather spend the time adding more commonly useful features to
E-Loader.
If you can't get USB to work with sequence transfers, then that is a
different problem. There are instructions in the USB Driver Installation
notes about how to test if the drivers were installed correctly.
