I just installed a behringer tube composer and a behringer ultra curve pro and the combo is super sweet. I have the ultra curve side chained through the tube composer so i can controll what frequencies are being compressed. The Gate and limiter on the tube composer still work on the hole signal but only what i want gets compressed. The sweet thing about it is i can trigger the eq settings via midi so it is always right for the song i am working on in a live setting. It is not the cheap way to go but it sounds very good.
