Re: [xl7] Re: What are people using WITH your xx-7?

I might be biassed, But the E-MU E-5000 should on your list. Check with
Sweetwater music, their running some great deals. Plus you get the cool
DSP tool (inside the E5000) Called Beat Munging, that lets you slice and
dice, auto loop and more. When it comes to hardware sampling, were the
guys. The sound library is huge, and if your in the mood you can update
your E-5000 with the extra cool and powerful RFX32 card that allows you
to run 16 effects at once, with effects like Pattern based tempo delays,
synched flangers and ring mods., the Muxter which allows you to auto
gate up 4 parts at once (like a slicer) and a scalable Vocoder (13 - 52
bands). Sorry guys, but all this sample talk and nobody talking about
one of the companies that has dominated in this category since the
beginning forced me to get on my soap box. Lastly, In the fall the
Software Emulator 5 will arrive and allow you to share files back and
forth between it and the E5000. If your looking at a rack sampler, go
with the one that is still supported not discontinued.
