Just curious about how you all like you use the arpeggiator on these xx-7 machines. >>>Personally, I think the arps rock, they're very usable, and so many to choose from. By far some of the most programmable and versatile arps out there. I use them for eveything from leads and basslines (rarely though, I prefer to program my own in this case) to creating interesting drum fills and patterns. <<< Do you guys like come up with an idea for an arpeggio first how ever you might and then try to translate that into emu arpeggio speak or rather just play with the steps to see what you come up with? >>>If you're just starting out, experimentation is key. Pick a good Preset you like, then apply different arps to it to see how they affect the sound., When you find one you like, use the Arp menu to edit it and see what makes it work and how it's programmed. The more you do this, the more comfortable you'll be with thinking of and making your own arps! Like anything worth doing, practice makes perfect. <<< One other question I had is if it is possible to make a pattern based arpeggio cycle through a "held cord" instead of just playing the identical arpeggio on all the held notes together? >>>That depends on the pattern you select. Maybe I'm not understanding your question too? <<< rEalm
