Re: What are people using WITH your xx-7?

2002-05-13 by mikexl7

Just thought I would throw my two cents in on this one. I have been
using the E5000 for a couple of years now and i love it. I do have
it loaded up with a 10 gig drive and a 128Mb of ram mind you. The
sound is very warm and the features for setting up programs is very
nice and bug free. I think if you wanted to blow your head up with
a sampler you may want a EMU with the FX upgrade. I have never
heard a bum review on the fx expansion, Mind you it is alot of
cash. I have also heard alot of good things about the yamaha
samplers but have never used one so dont know first hand.

The way i see it is kinda like this. EMU where the people that
invented the sampler. So why would you buy a sampler from a company
that makes motercyeles? I used akai for a long time and when I went
to a EMU it was instant love. I would recomend buying a sampler
from a company that make instraments rather than toys motercycles
and diskmans.

This is all just my opinion but hope it is worth something to you.

Best reguards and good luck.
