Mmmmm Virus, I have a Virus B mmmmm delicious! I was the third person on the west coast to get one, and it's an incredible beast for making your own sounds.

Because I can just get the ROMs for the XL-7 and use another keybaord as a controller, far cheaper than buying a new Emu keyboard. The way I see it, I've already invested $1k in the Xl-7, and part of the reason I got it was so I could load it up with new sounds eventually. Getting a new Emu keyboard wouldn't provide me with enough difference in keybaord action to justify another $1k for a synth that can play the same sounds as my current one (XL-7). If I was going to spend money on a new synth, it wouldn't be an Emu. Probably a Virus KC, going to look at one of those tonight in fact....

Why not get one with one of the other ROMs then?

Were it not for the over redundancy of sounds with that and my XL-7, I would easily get one to replace my Yamaha CS2x which is for sale BTW if anyone's interested.
