That is an E-MU thing where you send your receipt in to E-MU after purchase from Sweetwater. Guitar Center had a similar thing when I purchased my P2K in "99"Nd I still see offers that they have in the monthly mailers. The deal was for a free Protozoa ROM where your invoice was sent back to them(E-MU).
