Yes, real pity - the machine would have
become a monster. It's all in the
card's flash ROM I suppose.

I was thinking of a adding a second sequencer to my
rig. Something that would allow give me more track buttons, and also allow me to
get away from the 'groove' thing, where everything is all nicely synched up and
repeats together every 4 bars. It would also be very nice to be able to record
and loop live midi data.
On the audio side, I do this with a repeater and
echoplex - I can setup 4 bar grooves in the repeater, and extended, or even odd
time repeats in the echoplex - for example, having a rhythmic comp repeat
every 9 bars over a 4 bar bassline.
Can anyone recomend a sequencer that would
complement the XL-7?

Well, that sucks. Why bother, then?
Perhaps if they ever get a patch editor working with e-Loader, riff
editing/loading could be part of it?
