Re: [xl7] Beats working?

Yes, real pity - the machine would have become a monster. It's all in the card's flash ROM I suppose.
Probably rather hard to control though :> How would you know what was on and off in each track? :>
I was thinking of a adding a second sequencer to my rig. Something that would allow give me more track buttons, and also allow me to get away from the 'groove' thing, where everything is all nicely synched up and repeats together every 4 bars. It would also be very nice to be able to record and loop live midi data.
On the audio side, I do this with a repeater and echoplex - I can setup 4 bar grooves in the repeater, and extended, or even odd time repeats in the echoplex - for example, having a rhythmic comp repeat every 9 bars over a 4 bar bassline.
Can anyone recomend a sequencer that would complement the XL-7?

Well, that sucks. Why bother, then?

Perhaps if they ever get a patch editor working with e-Loader, riff
editing/loading could be part of it?
