People expect to be entertained as if they were sitting in their reserved seats at a [...] instead of dancing their butts off. The ante has been raised by the DJ guys with the mega-buck light shows, and some who have their own dancers/groupies.What to do? Consider your venue man.Is it a CLUB where people go to dance!? They (the club)should have/provide adequate "distractions" for the bench-warmers and cruisers.Lights/lazers/smoke/disco-balls etc. "clubbers" find their groove, and appreciate the groovemeisters ability to get them there, keep them there, and move them into a gelatinous mass of rhythmic euphoria they've never experienced, or have forgotten... There are more gearheads than ever!! Play with your toys man.. Your audience will find you. best, g.
