Re: [xl7] xl-7 command station 5 roms, what to do?

No.
The ROM holds the sample of the preset you are playing.
You can do what I did, buy a Proteus 2000 or an XL1 Turbo module for 4 more ROM slots and then use the module as another sound generator for the XL-7.

Well here's my problem I have 5 roms, and as we all know ony four slots. Could I install a rom, save all presets to user bank then remove that rom, insert another rom. Now the rom saved to user bank is no longer in, will sounds still be available and working in user banks? In a way this might let me use the sound from the 5th rom, but every time I save a user created preset, I'll overwrite sounds from the rom not inserted? Would this work?
