Well here's my problem I have 5 roms, and as we all know ony four slots. Could I install a rom, save all presets to user bank then remove that rom, insert another rom. Now the rom saved to user bank is no longer in, will sounds still be available and working in user banks? In a way this might let me use the sound from the 5th rom, but every time I save a user created preset, I'll overwrite sounds from the rom not inserted? Would this work?

Sorry to say, you can't do that, the user presets are for you to tweak a sound and save it. But the original sample stays intact on the rom. If you take the rom out it just won't play. You should find an empty shell on ebay. It sounds like you have all the roms you want. But the shells cost maybe $50. I have seen quite a few on there in the past couple of months. Good luck. I think you are wanting to re-initialize. Hold down both cursor buttons when powering on. I think it is at the end like #16 ? or #17 ? But I don't know if that brings back the factory sequences or not, I have never deleted mine so. You may have to download them back after initializing. From "e-loader" which I still haven't got to work. Good Luck, TOMTEL --- On Wed, 4/22/09, gary higgins <heyrag@...> wrote:

In fact just a month ago there were 5 second hand ones up for $165 each - good deal if you got in quick, and there's one up now which is not in fact a FLASH SIMM - its just a composer ROM (so don't buy it for the $359 that's being asked). The interface seems pretty proprietary, so I doubt that one from a modem or router would work...
