Something I've always done to "keep it real" is to use the quantize only on certain parts. For example I will play the hi hats, cymbals, and/or maybe like some sort of snare ghost strokes or accents "live" (with the quantize set to off). That way the main parts are still dead on but the feel of a real drummer still exists. I've done it in numerous different combinations. So the swing setting is cool to keep the feel loose but doing it live let's you actually create it naturally. Something like that may help.
