I would like to know the outcome of this as I think i ruined a MP7 by doing almost the same thing. I have a mp7 that no longer reads roms but everything else works and it passes all the same tests. I have it saved for extra parts but sucks It will not read roms any more.

Ok, first let me say....I'M A DUMB@SS!! I just got a PK-6 and it WAS
working fine. But I just can't leave well enough alone. I had an
Audity 2000 ROM lying about and, while I thought it probably would'nt
translate correctly, I thought at the very least I could get some
interesting noise out of it and at the very worst it simply would'nt
work.....WRONG! ! My PK-6 is now completely F*CKED!! It no longer
recognizes the original PROM and to make matters worse I re-initialized
it and wiped out my user presets now I'm left with deafening silence!
I've run the diagnostics and the ROM passes the #14 sound rom test
but when I run the #16 sound data CRC test it reads "invalid" on both
slots 1 & 2. Have I ruined the original ROM?? Any advice here would
be GREATLY appreciated.

TIA....Cristofe
