Yeah it's a lot, but they do tell you in the manual how to set them up for 
use as a simple ADSR envelope too.  I had to xerox that page and hang on 
the wall in my studio so I could remember how to do it.  I usually only 
need simple envelopes too, but it's nice know the option is there if I 
need it  :)

Another thing I have noticed is the double envelope poles in the Amp: 
Attack 1, Attack2, and so on. It obviously don't refer to the layers, so 
it appears any given patch might have 8 ADSR poles, in my opinion that's 
too much.
