Further like Alwyn, this problem never occurs when the sequencer is
playing.
And call it a hunch, but I really don't think what I'm experiencing is
a machine specific issue.
Interestingly though, as I had noted earlier, this is a problem I
thought I had gotten rid off (it hasn't popped up in ages). This
problem occured while I was working on a timbre I had been
developing....and there were a couple unique things that began to
happen in regard to the hung notes that I noticed since my initial
posting:
A. The notes definately at times were not notes I had ever hit. And
unlike with my past hung note issues, were at times in deed
more than one note at a time.
B. They would fade in VERY slowly over time but eventually become
quite loud. Retriggering the note(s) would get rid of the note(s)
however in searching for the correct note(s), one risked triggering
more hung notes.
C. IT WAS PATCH SPECIFIC! Soon as I jumped over to any of my other
patches and began playing them, ALL WAS WELL! Further, the hung note
problem also was able to be resolved by selecting ANY of my other
patches, and simply running through the keys on them.
At present, though I really don't want to get rid of the patch that is
causing the problem, I'm going to be doing so. What makes me nervous
though is that I don't know what it is about that patch that is
driving the CS nuts......and thus there is a chance of running into
the problem again.
Regards,
Al
