Hi list, I think this is working with the following caveats- it is achieved with patch cords so obviously will only work on internal sounds. two, you loose the use of an lfo, three I thinks os 2.0 is required. The idea is maximum velocity notes trigger a square wave lfo that is programmed like a switch to turn sustain on and off. -choose a sound like a bass patch -choose 'preset' in the edit section -cursor left and toggle 'LA' for editing all layers -press button 6 in the step programmer to go to solo mode page -choose any of the monophonic settings like fingered glide at the end -press button 9 on the step programmer for lfo 1 settings page -set shape to square, set sync to key -set rate to 1/1 (this is left or behind the hz settings) -set delay 0 set var 0 -press button 11 for patch cords page -set #3 to lfo+- ---> keysust -098 -set #4 to vel+ ---> c03amt + 100 -press preset in edit section to come out of preset edit press play+record to go into grid edit. -start entering your pattern but use the data wheel to tie a note by increasing the velocity past 124. For me any note with >124 vel is tied by the note length set in lfo 1 rate. Also use a note with velocity=1 to break a tie early. Hope this works for someone else, Good luck Mike
