Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Greetings Commanders,

I am beginning to experiment with the XL7 Song mode, and thus
requesting tips from those of you who may have experience with this.

So far, I manually chain (Enter) each Pattern in Song Mode to create
the foundation, then record changes as the Song Plays. That is cool,
except that I find myself wishing each Pattern-Step in the Song would
not reset itself as it's turn comes up in the Song.

Does anyne know if it is possible to Record spontaneous changes Only
("free-run") when in Song Mode? Similar to what can be done on a Korg
Electribe and the Yamaha devices?
